Best Camera Hand Grips for Filmmakers

Best Camera Hand Grips Header - Hand Grips: Everything You Need to Know Before You Choose

Camera handgrips can serve different purposes for filmmakers. They can provide extra stability for long exposures or help shooters achieve a particular look or feel for their shoots. It is hard to find the right accessory, so here are four things to consider when shopping for handgrips:

  • Speed – Speed is super important when adjusting your rig to get the shots you need. Zacuto handgrips offer the fastest adjustments. With the press of the lever you can rotate the grip 360 degrees. With the twist of one lever you can lengthen or shorten your grip, pull it into your body or away from body. Changing positions is super important to reduce arm and wrist fatigue
  • Durability – Handgrips that offer extreme durability and reliability are ideal for work with both smaller and larger cameras. Users can easily perform tool-free adjustment and locking of the grips with one hand while operating most camera systems on their shoulder. Our lifetime warranty makes sure these handgrips will outlast your camera!
  • Versatility – The less effort your hands have to expend on hanging on to the camera, the more sensitivity and feel is available to achieve practical and intuitive filmmaking.
  • Comfort  – By fitting your hand as if you grasped the camera while it is in a pliable state, you can secure control, rather than having to maintain a constant death-grip just to avoid dropping it. In addition, users can easily perform tool-free adjustment and locking of the grips with one hand while operating most camera systems on their shoulder.

Camera grips are one of the often-overlooked accessories but can make a massive difference in the quality of your shots. In this article, we list our top camera handgrips, which we believe any filmmaker would love to have!

Zacuto's Trigger Handgrips

Zacuto's line of camera handgrips are called Trigger Handgrips. They are the most easily and quickly adjustable handgrips. With a single hand, you can rotate your handgrip 360 degree with no slipping.  As quick as you can push a lever, you can flip the handgrip down, raise it up and pack it away in seconds.

Depending on your camera and rig, we have various options for you.  Let’s look at some of our available options:

Short, unique handgrips for camera cages:
