Panasonic Releases the Lumix S5 II
Panasonic announced the release of two new mirrorless cameras with features fans have long awaited. The new Panasonic Lumix S5II and S5IIX are updated versions of the S5, one of the best value full-frame hybrid cameras.
Panasonic Lumix S5II Features
The Panasonic S5II is a highly anticipated update to the popular S5 camera. While similar to the S5, the S5II has two distinct features that set it apart.
First, the S5II is capable of shooting video at 6k 30fps (200Mbps LGOP 4:2:0 10-Bit). While this is a nice upgrade, the considerably more important new feature is phase detect autofocus. This is a feature many Panasonic fans have been asking for in mirrorless cameras, and will be an exciting upgrade for those who shoot action or news.
The S5II X is slightly upgraded version of the camera. This camera has an incredibly similar build and set of features as the S5II with a few additions such as HDMI raw video output, Pro Res, and recording to SSD via USB.
Here are some additional tech specs:
- A new L2 technology image engine
