It's been nearly 10 years since the very first version of our Z-Finder was created. Wow! For many people, our name, Zacuto, is practically synonymous with 'Z-Finder'. Not a week goes by we don't get a call from a new filmmaker saying, "So I bought a DSLR and my friend told me I should get a Zacuto?!"
"The Z-Finder was one of those rare pivotal products that was part of industry history. The DSLR revolution would not have been complete without it, and it helped that movement happen. - Jens Bogehegn, Zacuto Product Designer
Zacuto Viewfinders - from Z-Finder to EVF to Gratical
It was the popularity of the Z-Finder Pro that enabled us to expand our R&D department into electronics. And thus the Z-Finder EVF was born. The incredible growth of EVF technology over the past few years has been all-consuming and a genuinely fun ride for our design team. And we can't wait to see what comes next. Our line of
Gratical EVFs would not be possible without the advent of micro-OLED technology. That's what gives us screens as tiny as our pinky nail!
Z-Finder Viewfinders
The original! Our Z-Finder viewfinders cut out extraneous light, act as a point of stability, most include diopters to aid with any eyesight issues, and act as a focusing aid - particularly helpful when working with the shallow depth-of-field of a DSLR. All our Z-Finder Pro models and accessories can be found
here. We offer models for DSLRs, BMPCC, Canon C100 and C300, and the Sony FS5 and FS7.
Gratical EVFs
Electronic viewfinders are a pivotal tool in any filmmakers bag, providing accessibility, stability, focusability, and so much more. All units start with a 5.4 million pixel micro-OLED display, high quality precision optics with a built in diopter, and a powerful FPGA dual core processor. Click
